Our mendhi party, blessing ceremony and reception will take place in Dubai. A big part of Arjun’s family lives there, also it’s easy for our relatives to travel from India and Kyrgyzstan. Not that close for our family and friends in USA but we hope to see you all there with us.

Mehendi

The Mehendi Party is pre-wedding celebrations with dancing, singing and delicious food. Our female guests are welcome to get their hands painted with henna throughout the evening. It is a night when traditions, mischief and fun all come together.

Mehendi also known as Henna is a symbol of auspiciousness, happiness and beauty. The leaves of the mehendi tree when crushed and applied to hands and feet leave a beautiful orange vegetable dye. Expert ladies apply the mehendi in breathtakingly artistic designs. Its been used to awaken joy, the inner light for as long as anyone can remember!

Blessing ceremony

A blessing ceremony will be held at Arjun's parent's home followed by lunch. We hope you will be there to share your blessings with us.

The blessing ceremony is performed with the fire and other elements as the witnesses. The mantras, which are chanted, are translated into a language that the couple can understand so they can relate themselves to their meaning and significance. This ceremony will be approximately one hour long.

Reception

This is the part where we party! Please join us to share your toasts, dance the night away and launch us on our journey together.
